Gisèle, aged 92, lived on the second floor of a small building overlooking one of Amiens' main streets. For four years, we used to meet there several times a month. Despite our 64-year age gap and the 459 kilometers that separated us, we could talk about anything. Guided by my desire to find out more about her and what had shaped her life as a woman, I interviewed her over the course of our meetings on a number of themes: love, motherhood, work, friendship, independence, sexuality and death. Gisèle told me the story of her life and, in a mutual movement, I questioned mine. Our paths intertwined and our personalities resonated. And, before everything became a memory, I filmed her.
