School phobia: the child burn-out

Documentary

They are neither lazy nor "dropouts" but suffer from a strange evil, the irrational fear of going to school. Lisa, Hugo, Tom and Philippe are trying to cope with this school phobia that is hurting them to the core of their being. Their universe has gradually shrunk, sometimes to the point where it is only made up of the four walls of their bedroom, since the day their heads and bodies could no longer carry them to school.

Their parents, not at all prepared to face the violence of this pathology - which is not recognized as such - come up against the general incomprehension, having become like prisoners themselves, between social pressure and children who shut themselves away. Faced with the institution that emphasizes the legal obligation to educate children, children and parents try to find solutions, which allow them to believe again in a future where everyone can find their place.
