On the shores of the ponds in the Sensée Valley, chalets, caravans and mobile homes have, over the years, been transformed into genuine permanent homes. A diverse, often modest community now lives there all year round, inventing a different way of life day by day: simple, free, as close as possible to the water and nature. Everyone is building their own ‘little corner of paradise’, their own refuge, as a bulwark against life’s ups and downs.
The Sensée Valley thus becomes a barometer, a mirror reflecting the changes taking place in a section of today’s society, particularly in the face of the housing crisis.
