My mother, a shop assistant in a bakery in northern France, has been keeping a diary since she was a teenager and dreams of one day making a film about her life. After studying film and struggling to find my feet in the workforce, I have now returned to Boulogne-sur-Mer to help her fulfil this dream. Staging scenes inspired by her own life leads us to revisit her past and share our stories with one another in the present.
